Our Simple Repairs Process

We aim to make repairs as straightforward and transparent as possible. Below is a clear overview of how our repair process works, along with our standard terms and conditions of repair.

How Our Repairs Process Works

  1. Your repair is logged and assigned a job number
Your repair gets logged on our automated system and allocated a job number. Your repair will only be processed once the upfront strip and quote fee has been paid.
  2. We prepare and send you a quote
Once the strip and quote fee is paid, we will send you a quote with the costs to fix your machinery. This is done is approximately 3 working days (this can vary depending on how busy the workshop is, as well as factors we cannot control).
  3. Repairs are carried out on approval
On approval of your quote, we will repair your machinery. Repairs take approximately 5–10 working days, depending on spares availability from suppliers. We cannot be held responsible for delays if suppliers do not have spares or are awaiting spares.
  4. Cleaning, quality check, and collection
Once the repair has been completed, we clean and quality check your machine, and you are sent a message to collect.
  5. If you do not approve the quote
If you do not approve the quote, or the repair cannot be completed due to spares availability, or being uneconomical, we can reassemble for collection if requested only.

Standard Terms and Conditions of Repair

  1. No repairs will be processed without a strip and quote fee being paid. This will be credited on the final invoice or on the purchase of a new item should it not be repaired.
  2. Machinery booked in and no strip fee paid after numerous communications will be scrapped after 14 days.
  3. Uris Power Centre will not be responsible for loss or damage whilst in our possession.
  4. The company will not be bound to keep machinery for longer than 30 days from:

      – Date it has been quoted, and no authorization has been received.

      – It is completed and ready for collection.

      – You have declined the quote, and have failed to collect the machine. In this case we will scrap on your behalf.
  5. All repairs over R1500.00 will require a 50% deposit before work commences. In certain cases full payment will be required upfront, where external repair partners are used.
  6. We reserve the right to requote a job if it becomes apparent further spares are required to complete the repair satisfactorily.
  7. We are required to drain fuel from generators/pumps/engines on occasions. Should you require your fuel please advise and bring a container so this can be drained and handed back to you.
  8. Machines not repaired will be returned unassembled. Please advise the service department should you require reassembly so this can be arranged.
  9. Should spares not be available from suppliers to complete the repair we will close the job at 30 days, unless full payment has been received to keep the job open.
  10. Three-month warranty on parts only from date of collection. Fair wear and tear expected. Warranty will be established after assessment.

Please retain a copy of these terms and your job number for your records.
